Recently Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.5 have been released. When prompted, many people will automatically click to update their browsers.
Here at CSI Media, since 1st July, we have already seen a massive change in browser usage, with over 50% of all Internet Explorer users actually using the latest IE8 to view our website. Firefox is becoming increasingly popular with some online businesses reporting that more than a quarter of customers use Firefox as their primary browser.
Also, don't forget that some websites and online services are phasing out support for older browsers encouraging people to upgrade to the latest browsers such as IE8 and Firefox 3.5.
A study carried out by CSI Media on July and August 2009 visitors, concludes that Internet Explorer is still the most popular browser its visitors use, followed by Firefox. Ancillary websites also see this same pattern. (Click image to zoom)
